My Righteous King by Laura Lee Deschenes | Poetry | PAROUSIA Magazine

There is a song in the rain,
One filled with loneliness and tears.
The pain of yesterday has caught up.
It has caused so many fears.

They try to take hold,
Spinning all kinds of tall tales.
But in the end, they know
That truth always prevails.

The Son comes in the morning light.
These fears must flee.
His truth heals all of my wounds.
His truth is what sets me free.

Jesus, Jesus, Your truth always prevails!
Let the whole world see
That You are My God,
The Righteous King!
