Pray to Jesus – A Poem from Ujjal Mandal – PAROUSIA Magazine

Pray to Jesus O Jesus, wake us up From the shell of darkness. An apple tree stoops to the ground When many succulent apples Decorate the tree with their skins Of red, green, yellow and pink. O Jesus, make us like the apple trees. When spring leaves the tree, she stands With bare jewellery looking at the skies Straight. She never bows her head down. O Jesus, do not let us be like this arrogant tree. O Jesus, wake us up From the shell of numbness. Ujjal Mandal, a Postgraduate scholar and an emerging poet from West Bengal, India. He … Continue reading Pray to Jesus – A Poem from Ujjal Mandal – PAROUSIA Magazine

Prayer Against Coronavirus and for God’s Help! | PAROUSIA Magazine

Greetings my dearly beloved brothers and sisters. Recently, I was asked by my dear sister Roula Pollard, from Athens, Greece, to write a short prayer for those suffering from coronavirus, their healing, and elimination of the virus. As you know, I am not a person who is short on words. I will use the “TRIP” acronym in this prayer, we discussed it on September 15th and 22nd 2019, in my Sunday messages. As a reminder: “T” is for “Thanksgiving” unto God. “R” is for “Repentance” of all sins. “I” is for “Intercession” for others and “P” is for “Praise” unto God. The prayer she requests follows: Dear merciful and heavenly … Continue reading Prayer Against Coronavirus and for God’s Help! | PAROUSIA Magazine

MORNING PRAYER by Rick Davis | Poetry | PAROUSIA Magazine

I lay in bed Whispering to You. My love of You Feels like joints And bones. As I lay In twilight half-sleep I eclipse You With tender feelings. The sweat of life Always continues Like a cruel Walk into sun But in bed I allow reason To slide away And am bathed In a cascading shower Of blue rain. My mind Keeps wandering But I fight This crisis Of distraction And continue To listen to My quiet breath Allowing love To fill the bedroom – I am famous For loyalty And grab You As if You could Be mine. I … Continue reading MORNING PRAYER by Rick Davis | Poetry | PAROUSIA Magazine

A Message from the Angels by Rebecca Willman Gernon

“What am I supposed to do?  Where am I supposed to move? Tell me. Give me a sign.” I’d lost track of the number of times this had been my prayer.  I waited impatiently, wondering how and when God would answer. In less than six months, the government agency I worked for would close our office. If I wanted to keep working for this agency, which I did as I needed the income, I’d have to move. I was a small town girl, but agency jobs similar to mine were only available in large metropolitan areas. Nightly I asked … Continue reading A Message from the Angels by Rebecca Willman Gernon

One Day I Will Build A Church by Enigmatic Olumide Bisiriyu

One day, I will build a church Where man is the Building And bricks just for living Lives will be pruned Not to please the preacher But to reach the sinner One day, I will build a church Where talents rule without mediocrity Instead of choir Poetry will sing The preacher may talk but he wont be seen And drama comes, we will all play One day, I will build a church Where symphonies become our melody of hope As we get lost in His Presence Our yearnings find peace We will pick money from the ground After laying down … Continue reading One Day I Will Build A Church by Enigmatic Olumide Bisiriyu

5 Things To Consider In 2016 by Ikechukwu Amadi

The beginning of a new year is always a good time to start doing things right and saying good bye to old and destructive habits of the past. I have put up a list of things you may want to consider for this year. 1. Pray more. Prayer is the pipeline through which we connect heaven. What that basically means is that God will transfer things into your spirit man through the channel of prayer. If therefore you fail to pray, you shortchange yourself and put yourself at risk of insufficient supply of insight and power for the new year. … Continue reading 5 Things To Consider In 2016 by Ikechukwu Amadi
