LOVE AND A PHONE CALL

I call you
On the phone
And as we talk
Angels glow.

We share secrets
Like whispers of wind
Reclining beneath
Moonlit night.

The outside world
Is voiceless lightening
And our shared
Conversation
Is like listening sky.

As we speak
Peaceful blue shadows
Fill my living room
And you are
An angel’s voice –

Uniting us
In a bond of all
Live things –

We are one
With all of creation.

I take a walk
Trying to wind down
So as to get to sleep
And while thinking of you
The grass gleams
With evening dew.

I sing a lover’s tune
Without words.

You are the
Spirit of roses.
