WALK EASTER AWAKE by Chenjerai Mhondera | Easter 2019

Grow my palm leaf
Grow into faith
Of birth, death,
Crucifixion, resurrection and ascension.

Grow my old hope
Grow into sympathy, empathy,
Triumph and mercy

Ferment like yeast
Firm like a seed, mustard;
Grow my palm leaf
Into apple real
Of ap ril
As we easter this holiday
