PAROUSIA Magazine is calling for submissions for it 9th Issue to be published by December 2018 during the Christmas Celebration.

The theme of this forthcoming Issue is The Christmas Cascade Issue.

Isaiah 7:14

14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

God promised a Saviour who would come and  redeem mankind and give unto him eternal life. The birth of Jesus was that glorious coming.

Isaiah 9:6-7

6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

1 Timothy 1:15-17

15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Narratives should explore the Birth of Jesus Christ, Love, Eternal Life, Salvation, Forgiveness  Mercy, Grace, Light, Joy, Celebration, New Birth, New Creation, and New Life.  In this Issue, we are expecting Christmas Stories that are rich in Indigenous languages and that reflects our society and culture. 

We are interested in Fiction, Creative Non Fiction, Memoir, Poetry, Review, Interview, Photography, Painting, Drawing, Graphic and other creative art works.
Submission is open to every writer regardless of Age, Experience or Location.

• Interested in Fiction, Non – Fiction and Essays not more than 3000 words. (If you have more than 3000 words which is engaging, don’t hesitate to share with us)
• Submit no more than three poems of any length.
• Accepts Interviews, Book Reviews, Music Reviews, Movie Reviews, Spoken Word Reviews and Event Reviews not more than 1500 words. Please send a query email before sending the interview.
• Send us your most engaging Visual Art.  Submit up to ten images of photography, digital art, paintings ( JPG, JPEG or PNG)

Your Subject must be in this format ‘SUBMISSION ISSUE 9 – NAME – GENRE’.
Please include a biography (tell us where you’re writing from) not more than 150 words and good quality picture of yourself in your submission.
Submissions are to be sent in Word Doc (name the word document as your name and genre e.g. John Olufisayo – Poetry) or pasted in the body of the email.
Simultaneous submissions are acceptable but immediately inform PAROUSIA Magazine if your work has been accepted somewhere else.
Your submission must be previously unpublished and original.
