Humphrey Ogu is a poet, short fiction writer, playwright and journalist. He is the Secretary of the Rivers State branch of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) and had earlier served as the Public Relations Officer of the Association. Ogu was the founding Secretary of Seaview Poetry Society, a body of poets that have been reading poems on Rhythm 93.7 FM, Port Harcourt since 2005. An alumnus of ElechiAmadi School of Creative Writing, His book, Echoes of Neglect, one of the 11 books of poems nominated for the NLNG-sponsored Nigerian Prize for Literature in 2017.
