JUST FOR A WHILE by Ogedengbe Tolu Impact

JUST FOR A WHILE

When life bends you to your knees
And misfortunes do not hearken to your pleas
When life slaps you on your cheeks
And tears flow down to your heels.

When failures appear in your life
And sadness cuts you like a knife
When all you find in your archive
Are bad results forming a hive.

When things are falling apart
And sorrow fills your heart
When others are moving on a cart
And you seem to remain on a mat.

Don’t lose hope, It’s just for a while
Things will change and you’ll smile
No matter the failures in your file
Don’t give up, It’s just for a while.

FACE YOUR FEAR

When life appears to you like Goliath
Or challenges you for a mortal combat
Don’t be afraid of its appearance
But stand and establish your dominance.

When life dresses in horror of horrors
Or appears in its absolute terror
Don’t be scared of its appearance
But stand and establish your dominance.

No matter what life may appear to be
Don’t be afraid of what you see
Face your fear and establish your dominance
Don’t be scared, no matter its appearance.

HOLD ON AND SEE

When gory days fall in love with weeks
And tears spread across the sheet of your cheeks
Don’t hang your reason for life on a tree
Hold on and see what tomorrow would hold.

When depression buffets your peace
And death whispers to you in a breeze
Don’t hang your reason for life on a tree
Hold on and see what tomorrow would be.

Time will come when all would be at ease
And days of toil and hours of pain shall cease
Hold on and see what tomorrow would hold
Don’t hang your reason for life on a tree.
